MERRY will be launched into the world on September 23, and when that happens, I’ll be busy speaking, teaching, traveling and, hopefully, selling lots of books. But for now, I’m spending a lot of time thinking. And looking out my window at the beautiful Hudson River.

I’m thinking about the characters in the new book I’m writing. It takes a long time for me to figure out who people are. I’m also working on articles that will be appearing over the next few months in magazines and on-line. I’m talking to public relations people about ways to get the word out about MERRY. And I’m reading, because I’m always reading. Right now I’m in the middle of Miss Austen by Gill Hornby. She’s Nick Hornby’s sister, which I find fascinating because they write so differently. But they must have interesting family vacations. Certainly a novel there!
